Check with your local Social Security Agency. They will be able to send you out the info. You can also look it up online and find out exactly where you live.
Hello two teen boys, by now I am sure someone has messaged you. You have checked out all the right places to start. I don't know where you live...but, you can look up section 8 housing on line and find the info for your State and County. Yes, most everyone on here, came here looking for help. Just like yourself. Many stayed to offer friendship and services they have found that might help others. Some of us check in from time to time and try to help in what ever way we can.
I know it is frustrating to feel so alone, but there are still resources available if you qualify. You have taken the first steps. You have shown interest in 31 pages so far and they are good pages! Good Luck and just be persistent & keep searching & asking. But let people know WHERE you live. Just the State and County.

in response to funmom...Funmom,
Honey you need real diapers, underwear for at least emergencies. There are too many other things to stress over instead of a last pull-up.... How old is your child? Things will get easier. Just remember that you have been blessed and your babies are a gift. Take good care of them and give them the important things. Lots of love and guidance.
Hello friendshelp,
In trying to help a person who needs rent monies for this month.....I started searching for resources for New Mexico. I got a hit on your page here and there was so MANY bits of info....I just copied and pasted it to her. I am hoping that is ok with you. It was GREAT for me, because I found the info on your husband surgery procedure!
Thank You for sharing such complete info! I had to stop and read the whole thing. Of course I stopped and said a prayer for your husband. I am hoping he has recovered from the procedure. And, that it was a complete success!
I may have something similar.
I love your 'puppy' fashion photo's! They are soooo adorable!
Again, please forgive me if it is a no-no on coping your info and passing it along. I mean no offense by doing so.
Hope all is well!
Aidmate,

in response to septembersfire...Hi septembersfire,

in response to septembersfire...Have you signed up for any aide assistance from your county? What about the kids absent parent? It sounds like you are in the same situation that most of us here are in. I went through what your going through several years ago. I had to sit down with my family members and have a 'reality' talk with them. It was hard. Our life style was changed. I called it , down sizing. I moved out of our 4 bed. 2 bath BIG house to a cheaper town. I called it a cabin! It was a 40 yr. old 2bed. (barely) 1bath. The ceilings were low...the floors uneven....but, it cut my rent in half! My utilities were cut by MORE than half!
My two girls were 15 and 5! I sat them down and told them we might have days without lights, heat & no video. But, I would be there for them. That if our Great Grandparents could strive without certain things, we could certainly stick together and make this an adventure. It is a period in my girls life that they fondly share & reminisce about. They both are 15 yrs. older now. They have told me many times how that was one of the most meaningful memories to their childhood! My oldest has a son of her own and she plans these events as FUN times for him. She says it is really a special time for them with no TV, Phone and it test their resourcefulness. She ask Wil if he can think of ways to solve their dilemma's and he comes up with some really good ideas. The reason I shared this with you is because I remember feeling like I was failing my children during rough times. I just wanted to let you know that kids really feel better when they grow up with limits that they can handle. When we are Stressed, we often reflect in to our children.
It sounds like you need to think of more long term sources of aide. Free your life up where you can. Enjoy the short years left with your son and daughter before they are out of the house. Mean while, let me know if you have signed up already for aide. If not, why? I will be checking in N. Mexico trying to see what resources are available for you!
in response to anglhrt48...Hello anglhrt48,
It is always great to hear from you! I am glad that you are still able to check in from time to time! I myself have not been on here as often as I would like. My health issues are still interfering with my life! Two weeks ago I had to have two more implants removed. It has been actually FIVE YEARS now that I have been struggling along trying to get my dental work done!
I had the bone graft preparing the upper gum line for the implants. After it healed, I had the implants put in. I am suffering from mal-nutrition (protein, Vit. D3 50,000 units, Vit. A, C and some B's & Iron). I was doing better for a few weeks, now my feet & ankles are so swollen I can't find shoes to fit them. Would you believe I use to be an aerobics instructor? Many moons ago when they still had step aerobics, cycle aerobics, and the different size balls. I loved that job, but it didn't pay as well as a legal assistant. However I was healthier! Just broke! LOL
It's 5:55 am...I better try and get some sleep. Love Ya! Thanks for the prayers. I need all I can get! (smile :)

in response to septembersfire...Welcome to aidpage, septembersfire. I'm so sorry to hear your having relationship problems on top of everything else. First of all hon, what state do you live in? County too would be helpful. How long have you been behind on the rent? How many children do you have and what are their ages? Things are really tight for all of us right now. In order for us to point you in the right direction, we need to know a little more about your situation. There are still programs available, but you need money today! I don't usually recommend the loan companies that loan you money against your next income. They are easy to get, but high interest. You have to be disciplined to use only when have to and pay it back on time. I have used it twice in my life. I was thankful that it was available to make ends meet.
So, send us some more info to go by and in the meantime you can browse the pages here on the different topics and you may find some info that will help. Keep your thoughts positive! You will be in my prayers. Until we hear more,
Sandav1 ~ ~ May God bless you ~ ~

Hello everyone!
It is past time that I update this post of 'more about me'. It is a LONG story (as are my birthyears) but I will try to shorten the stories (as I do with my birthyears).
I am of the 'Babyboomer' era. I was raised by a very strict Grandmother, who lived on a 'fixed' income. I remember thinking, (when she would tell me that) if it's fixed, why does it seem like it is always 'broke'? She also protected me like a fierce Momma Bear. So, I was knieve about a lot of things for many years. Fearful of many things as well. Yet, I never really felt 'Poor'! I did get plenty of hugs, butterfly kisses, and snuggles anytime I wanted them....or so it seemed.
It is the things that my Grandmother taught me about life, that has helped me to be the strong, resourceful person I am today. If I could change anything, it would be the little voice that sat on my shoulder telling me everytime I felt deprived, that "When I have children" they were going to have so much MORE than I did!
Many of us 'BabyBoomers' felt that way. We are now having to deal with the results of our excesses. Our pampered children who don't know how to live with less and they want even 'More".....for Their children...OUR Grandchildren.

in response to Starshine...Hi Starshine,
I am suppose to take D3 30,000 IU's. I wish they were chewable. They help A LOT! Mine are $56. and I have to get them through the pharmacy. I had been taking them for 3 mos. and then my van broke. So I, like you, wasn't sure how much good they were doing and they wound up on my list of 'Let Go's' to get my van repaired. The Lab test, my MD went over with me on Thurs. pointed to my need of D3 , Iron, Calcium, A, E & etc.
I take another lab Tues. Hopefully, I will replace my vitamins this coming month!
I don't think things would have been so bad, had not a spider bit my toe! I now realize I have never been bit by a poisonous spider before! I ignored the stabbing pain in my foot. I did not associate the dizziness, & nauseous feeling an hour or two later. Then the headache began. Hot then Cold. This went on for two days until I realized I was limping with both legs now! My toe and foot pad hurt & was swollen. I soak my feet every night and put tea tree oil on them due to swelling. I decided to get a 6X mirror and see if I could see anything, like a sliver or something. Due to it being BLACK & BLUE now I figured I stumped my toe and didn't recall doing it.....; /
It was black and blue on the pad too! My doc seen it last Thur. and he ID it as a spider bite. He just said to go to the ER if it starts oozing and gets bigger or I get sicker.
It is much better today! Thank God! My immune system being as it is right now.....I think that is why I reacted to the bite so badly. I DO NOT LIKE SPIDERS. I know they have their purpose...but, I am afraid of them. I'm ashamed to say that, but it is the truth.
Thanks for sharing your Kal chewables. I think chewable would be easier for me to digest. Maybe they need to make 'gumable'.

Hi Anglhrt48,
How are you doing these days? I did check out the place you told me to about car repairs, but I have not heard anything. When you said it took a long time for them to get back with you, how long were you talking about? I like you, live in the boonies. Since I can't walk very far due to lungs and spine, a vehicle is a blessing! I managed to get the tie rods repaired and it was going to cost $1400. But the guy gave me a break and charged me $1100. instead. Bless him! Still, on a fixed income...I did without the expensive vitamins (D3) and some others to make it happen. This past Thurs. my doctor said my labs were off. He said that my Alkaline phosphatase was too high. He said that tells him that my liver is over taxed and something is shutting down. If it hasn't improved in two weeks, I will have to go to the hospital and be put on a drip. I wish I had a laptop (lol).
We can only do what we can, huh? My van needs new brakes & tires now. Remember me in your prayers as I remember you kind friend :) You still haven't told me where things are with your health! I hope I will be back on here more regularly as I have taken on a new attitude! (actually it is one of my old ones I misplaced) I just have to work harder finding solutions to my problems as they appear! I use to play softball while my two boys were on Little League! I use to tell them that they just had to keep getting back up to bat and they would find that eventually, it would get easier & easier! :)
Hugs,
Sandy
Hi Bre,
I'm hoping that you are feeling better and being treated better. You have such a big heart and it seems it gets taken advantage of a lot. Our earth (and people) need more sensitive souls as yours. For both are ill and in need of healing energy with care. I went to a 'blessing ceremony' with my daughter several weeks ago. When I was there I thought of you and asked for the healing to include you. I did feel that it helped. We are going to attend another one this in March. Sometimes we just need to do the things that help us. You have so much talent Cat, that I truly believe you could make anything happen if you set your sights on it.
For myself, I have decided to put 'blinders' on and just deal with the necessary things and with extra time I have I will start healing myself from within. I will ask our guides to aid me in my direction while trying to find answers to my daily challenges.
I am going to start with cleansing my home. Then I think I will move right along and cleanse my 'Pages' here (I am truly serious, but laughing out loud too!) And ask that only positive problems pass through my web sites! (lol) Yes, I do believe problems can be positive experiences! Isn't it all how each of us handles problem solving? I too majored in Psychology and Art! (Double Major) I had intended on being an Art Therapist! You would be So good at being an A.T.!
in response to Starshine...Hi Starshine,
I thought I let you know that I am 2-3 steps away from getting my dental finished. And, I may get to spend a week-end with all my kids, grandkids. Providing I get the small loans to pay for my van out. Once again, my daughter and I had just turned into the car port when I heard the POP. I knew it sounded just like the ball barons &/or tie-rod broke at that moment as it did a year and a half ago. $1150. We are blessed again with not being involved in a serious accident at a result. God has been generous. I will spend the next few days trying to barrow small loans to get it together.
So many people I know are really cutting back on presents for christmas this year. They are actually putting more thought in them. No one is going overboard. We are giving something we have that we know someone else has wanted real bad. At the same time, I am going to get rid of my storage. I will make a few things. Bake....most difinantly. It feels like a really Great Year. Thank you Elaine for being such a Wonderful person . How is your Mom ? Does she get nauseous? I think about the two of you all the time, smile & wish XO's for you. Love ya all....Sandy
in response to anglhrt48...Hello Linda, I always get a big smile on my face when I see you here on this site again. You were one of the first persons I ever spoke to and wanted to help. How is your medical problems treating you these days? You have been in my prayers ALL this time! I am ready to hear good things coming your way! I too am having van problems, computer, and protein needs. But, I am smiling SO Big, cause I know we are survivor and God loves us. I will talk to you more later when I find some places that will help us. :) XXOOX Sandav1
in response to anglhrt48...It is always so good to hear and get big hugs from you Linda anglhrt48. You will always be special to me. How have you been doing for so long now? I have about two more visits to dentist and I will have NEW TEETH, Finally! I was driven to novato where my upper implant had to be pulled, and grouted out! Did not feel good this year? I sure hope so. I wish and pray for you to be blessed this year. Big Hugs and happy thoughts!...Your friend, Sandav1

in response to Starshine...Starshine,
Our cat was 10 human years, but was in great health. Then he got sick & did the same things Sunny was doing. We took him to vet & had ex-rays & blood test done. His stomach was huge, but nothing out of the ordinary with ex-rays. The vet told us he could do a look see surgery but, with the news of the cat food recall...it would cost $4,000. + That was soooo hard to let that be a factor. We bought him iams, only it was from Walmart! It was on the list. My daughter (15) myself & hubby were there with him. My hubby is a big guy and he held him & sobbed. He hasn't been the same since! That was Three or Four years ago. As I said, it effected us all.
I'm so sorry about Sunny, Patti. I know how much you love him. I know how hard it is to make those kind of decisions. I still miss our cat we lost just like you did ! It changed our whole family. We have a different cat now that we adopted from the online adoption for Bengal cats. We love her and she has her own personality, but she is different than he was. My prayers and thoughts are with you Patti.
Love ya,
Sandav1
in response to phoenix3...Hi K,
I was so happy to hear another person had help with their denture problems. Can you please bring me up to date with what type of help you got? I have the longest help in the history of Colorado Dental Org. I had to have a bone graft on the upper jaw. On the 1st of Oct. I get sized for the upper and lowers :) I am excited It has been three years in coming! Good Luck and let me know how it is going for you!
Sandav1 ~ ~ ~
in response to Starshine...I am up and down. Doc says it will take a long time to get my labs back up to where I feel human again! I have another dental apptmt. on Oct. 1st. Little by little I am getting it resolved! I am happy that I got rid of some of the dental pain! That is a BIG relief! Hope everyone is well here! It seems like there is something missing here on aidpage. Just me.....or is there something to miss? Talk more as my energy replaces itself. Take care everyone and thanks for the high fives! Sandav1 ~ ~ ~
I wish more of us could have that kind of faith as you do. When it comes right down to it....we all have problems...some really hard. But, it's how our faith deals with them that helps set our minds to whether we do it with a good heart...or drag our minds down and see it as no resolutions. Everything is fixable. We might wish it were more to our desires, but the main thing is to just deal with our problems and not let them tear our faith in our selves and loved ones down. Thanks for an optimistic reminder of turning to our faith. Have a great day!~~~Sandav1
Just a Hi from the outside ;) I have to run and take a blood test....I almost forgot...again! I hate them! They have a real hard time with my veins! They move and they are deep. Keep up the good work. Sandav1
I will do that and Thanks again! Good Luck to Everyone on here! Yesterday was my birthday and My wish was for every person who works here and needs here have a great day and better year to come. Love to all!
in response to Starshine...I'm home now. But I am pretty weak and sore. Thanks for your good wishes. I can't talk for a while. I am FINALLY rid of all the bottom roots. They left the good teeth that will be used as anchors. I could sure use some good luck for a change!
I am not familiar with how the UK handles their welfare system. However, it sounds like you know more than most of how it operates.
You should be looking closer to where you are for all the help you need with you and your children.
I feel really bad for you...seven children are a lot of responsibility. I feel bad for your children even more so. What are their ages? How many boy's and girls? When is the last time you were employed?
What is your Social Services like in UK? Do they provide family counseling? Your children need you more than ever right now. They need to feel safe and secure. Every body makes mistakes, that is how we learn. I was always told that If you learn from your mistakes and not repeat them....then they weren't really mistakes, just learning sessions.
In a month you are going to be a Grandmother! All you can do now Missy, is be there for your daughter and take one step at a time in helping her through this. Make sure that she knows and uses birth control from now on.
There are many organizations that will help your children and you too! Not knowing what their ages and gender are, it is hard to recommend certain programs.
Have you got a restraining order against your husband yet? Also, why did YOU and your children have to move from the housing that YOU secured AFTER leaving your boyfriend? I would have thought HE would be the one to leave, since you were the one to secure it and he was added after the fact.
Please let us know what needs we might be able to help you locate. Things are hard for most of us in these transitional times. If we can try to help each other with our prayers and kind words, sometimes that is all that is needed.... is to know that we are not alone.
You will be in my prayers Missy! Your children too. I will search and see what I can find closer to you in the ways of help. Don't give up....you've got to be here for your children and grandchild! You can sign up to work with Aidpage! Just hit the right side corner on this page where it says to become a contributor for Aidpage. It will tell you what to do to sign up. Take care Missy. Look forward to hearing back from you.
Hi My Friend,
Just touching basis. Hope all is as well as can be and then some :) I am still coping. Will let you know when my dental is finally finished. (Or is it ever?) I send many blessed wishes your way.
Hugs,
Sandav1
I am confused. You state that you are a 36yr. old male in one of your blogs, and now you are a mother of 3 children?
What country do you live in? How old are your children? How did your husband die?
I as others here are sorry for your losses....but, you need to tell us more about your situation in order for us to find if there are any resources available to help you with.
May God help you with your needs as he does others with theirs. Please give more info so he can work in the way he guides us all to our destinations.
